Living Values: An Educational Programme (LVEP)

LVEP approaches education in its broadest sense and:

  • enhances and supports the work already being carried out in values education, through a multi-cultural programme for life-long learning
  • inspires individuals to choose their own values system and be aware of the responsibilities and practical applications in relation to themselves, others and the world at large
  • involves the community at every level: children of all ages in formal and informal settings, parents, social workers, refugees and the educators themselves
  • encourages an understanding, appreciation and expression of innate values through an experiential approach involving methods such as reflection, visualisation and silence
  • looks at education as developing self-respect and confidence in young people and helping them to integrate themselves into the community is flexible enough to be integrated into all areas of the curriculum
  • invites users to pilot and evaluate components of the LVEP resources and contribute to an ever-growing bank of materials and resources
  • carries our training sessions by experienced and professionally qualified educators, organised by the Administrative Group, including Train-the-Trainer, Train-the-Educator, residential seminars for educators, visits to parenting groups, nurseries, and schools and a variety of conferences and workshops.

It is a programme by educators for educators.
